Dryburgh Abbey Hotel

This is a wonderful venue to hold a Knitting Retreat.  Our first Retreat was held in October 2014 with the second one in November.  On arrival it felt like going onto an Agatha Christie film set with Miss Marple sitting knitting in front of the fire.
Having just finished the November retreat, it was an extremely relaxing retreat with a swim in the beautiful pool every morning and then breakfast overlooking the River Tweed and watching squirrels gathering  their winter food supply.  Classes were held in a stately room where we sat in front of the fire or at the large bay window overlooking the river.

Afternoons were spent sightseeing as well as visiting Loch Carron Woolen Mill.  Evenings are spent knitting, enjoying lovely food and even more knitting over a sneaky G&T!!

The first time I went to Dryburgh Abbey Hotel to celebrabrate the wedding of my nephew Martin and Brooke.  It was a wonderful setting which made me realize it would be a perfect place for a Knitting Retreat.Pictures are of the happy couple, Trudi & Nathan (members of the Woolfish team) with her Grandpa (my father), my wonderful parents, and the lady in red!! is my new member of the Woolfish team and just happens to be my wee sister Alison, with her husband, Jim, daughter, son and future daughter-in-law (who are getting married in Tuscany in 2015!!)
