Ebba Wool ‘Wee computer’ Bag

What you need:    
- 8mm needles
- 3 x 100g hanks
- 2 clasps or large buttons (available from Woolfish)

Method:
Cast on 34 sts     
Knit 34 rows in stocking stitch (1 row knit, 1 row purl) (this will be the front of the bag)
Purl the next 2 rows
Work the next 4 rows in stocking stitch (this will be the base of the bag)
Purl the next 2 rows
Work the next 34 rows in stocking stitch (this will be the back of the bag)
Purl the next 2 rows
Work the next 8rows in Stocking Stitch, while still knitting in Stocking Stitch  knit the first 2 stitches together on the next 2 rows, keep working in Stocking Stitch for a further 14 rows (this will be the bag flap)
Cast off

Cast on 25 stitches         
Knit 25 rows
Cast off. (this will make the pocket on the front)

Cast on  6 stitches and knit 200 rows (the length of the handle after the side bits are sewn into the bag will be about 30” if you want a longer handle to sit near hip Knit another 100 rows)     
Cast Off  

Sew one end of the ‘handle/ gusset’ starting at the base of the bag sewing the sides of the ‘handle/ gusset’ up the sides of the bag, Do the same with the other side, being careful not to twist the handle.

The handle will automatically twist into itself

Sew the ‘pocket’ onto the front
Sew the fasteners on

Make sure the fasteners are closed and put the bag into the washing machine along with a large towel and put on a 30 degree wash
When out of the wash put it into the shape you want and let it dry
